1. What does Zingela do?
Zingela International Trophy Logistics exports hunting trophies from South Africa to clients worldwide. We take care of crating, in-house local logistics, permits, customs clearance, export documents and freight, from the taxidermist’s floor to available airports or a Fish and Wildlife registered port of entry. We also handle import clearance for trophies coming into South Africa.
2. How do I get a price?
Use the “Get an estimate” form, or send us an email at info@zingelaforwarders.co.za. We base the estimate on typical weights for your species and mount types. Once the trophies are crated and we have the actual weights and dimensions, we send you a firm quote.
3. Why is my estimate different from my final quote?
The estimate uses typical weights. Freight is charged on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher, so the final quote can move once the crate is measured.
4. How long does shipping take?
It depends on the permits, the destination and the taxidermist’s finishing time. Once the paperwork is ready, air freight usually takes about 2 weeks and ocean freight about 6 weeks, depending on the carrier and availability.
5. Do you arrange CITES and export permits?
Yes. Our permit team prepares the applications and handles all export permits, CITES and Nature Conservation inspections and endorsements.
6. Air or ocean freight, which should I choose?
Air is faster and suits most mounts. Ocean is usually cheaper for large or heavy shipments, such as full mounts or several crates.
7. Is my shipment insured?
Insurance is optional. If you choose it, the insured value follows our standard list per species and item, unless you tell us otherwise.
8. How do I pay?
Rates are quoted EXW (ex works). You can pay by EFT or wire transfer; card payments are coming soon. Full terms are on our Terms page.
9. Can I track my shipment?
Yes. We update you at each stage, from permits and crating through to departure. Tracking is then available through the carrier’s website.
10. I’m a taxidermist or outfitter. How do I work with you?
New partners can request access using the partner access request form on our Taxidermists & Outfitters page. Current partners can use Partner login to sign in and get estimates.
